New nurse union meets in Phoenix

New nurse union meets in Phoenix
December 07, 2009

The California Nurses Association, United American Nurses, and Massachusetts Nurses Association today convened a convention of their new merged union, National Nurses United, in Phoenix. The unions in February announced plans to unite. At the convention, they plan to elect a three-member council of presidents and discuss goals for the new union, which include expanding membership and advocating for federal legislation (S. 1031) to establish minimum RN-to-patient staffing ratios.
