The National Quality Forum today released a standard set of definitions for capturing quality data on electronic health records and other sources of electronic health information. NQF President and CEO Janet Corrigan said the standard, called the
Quality Data Set, will help ensure that quality measure developers use common data definitions and conventions when specifying measures for use with electronic health records. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality contracted with NQF to develop the QDS standard, which aligns with other quality standards endorsed by NQF.
