 South Dakota-based Sanford Health and North Dakota-based MeritCare Health System have merged to form Sanford Health-MeritCare, the organizations announced this week. Kelby Krabbenhoft will serve as president and CEO of the new organization, which includes 29 hospitals located in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska and Oklahoma.
