Hupfeld to step down as Integris president

Hupfeld to step down as Integris president
June 22, 2009

Stanley Hupfeld, who served on the AHA’s board from 2004 to 2006, will step down as president and CEO of Integris Health in Oklahoma City, OK, at the end of the year to become chairman of the Integris Family of Foundations.

Hupfeld will be succeeded as CEO by Bruce Lawrence, currently Integris' executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Integris Chairman Luke Corbett lauded Hupfeld's 22 years of "visionary leadership," and said he led Integris to "become one of the finest health care systems in the country."

As an AHA board member, Hupfeld served the association on several important committees, including the AHA's Delivery System Fragmentation Task Force. He is chairman of the Coalition to Protect America’s Health Care, which includes the AHA as a founding member. The coalition of hospitals and national, state, regional and metropolitan hospital associations, and business leaders promotes national and local advertising campaigns to bring a high level of visibility to hospital and health care issues.
