Administration issues state-level data on ACA benefits

March 5, 2012

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act eliminated lifetime limits on health benefits for more than 105 million Americans in 2011, according to state-level estimates released today by the Department of Health and Human Services. That includes 70 million people in large employer plans, 25 million people in small employer plans and 10 million people with individual coverage. The White House also released state-level data for other ACA provisions, including Medicare preventive benefits, coverage for young adults and people with pre-existing conditions, and grants to states for health insurance exchanges and public health.
